About the Author
Stevi Jackson is Professor of Women's Studies at the University of York, UK. She has published extensively on sexuality, especially heterosexuality, and on feminist theory.
Sue Scott is Pro Vice Chancellor at Glasgow Caledonian University, having previously been Professor of Sociology at Stirling and Durham Universities and Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences at Keele University, UK. She has published widely in the area of gender, sexuality and risk, particularly in relation to young people.

Highly interesting and convincing

The authors, both well known scholars in social studies of sexualities and in feminist debates, highly succeed in presenting a useful introduction in main issues of sociological reflection and research on sexualities. But they go well beyond this topic in entering theoretical discussion between the sociological interpretive paradigm and poststructuralist thinking arguing and showing what poststructuralism misses, and why there is a great interest in relaunching interactionist theorizing and research.
