Vandal is officially my favorite villain! (No spoilers)

I've purchased and read all three of the comics, and I must say that Vandal is the villain who I was most eager to see in action. Being the "evil twin" to Naked Justice he is pretty much a sexual maniac in a sinister sense. He is dark and devilishly handsome, even though this is a porn comic I would have loved to have seen him and NJ romantically involved, but that's a ship I'll keep at a humble level. The second installment of this trilogy is my favorite, due to it depicting the most of Vandal's malicious character. Loved it.

Multi-Engine Flying

This book is a regular $39.99 available here for a couple dollars. I would advise you all to take advantage of this steal...it really is a good and throrough book to help you earn a multi-engine rating. It starts with the basics and ends with how to take and pass the checkride and the oral. It even has a whole section of practice oral questions! For a couple of dollars what do you have to lose? If you want to fly twins...buy it.

Excellent book for the aspiring multiengine pilot

Well written content, and easy to read, everything a multiengine pilots needs to know explained. Was hoping for more nerdy content. The original book had page binding issues but Amazon replaced it with a pristine copy in the matter of days. Good job! :)

A Recommended Supplement

The solutions provided here are both clear and thorough. And they present some handy tricks and techniques.

I highly recommend this book for anyone studying Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics, particularly if they are using it for self study.

My only complaint was that in the main text, the exercise set for chapter 3 begins by instructing the reader to repeat a number of the exercises from chapter 2 using the new methods presented in the current chapter. I found this extremely worthwhile, but was disappointed to see that the chapter 3 style solutions for these problems were not included in this book.

A Valuable Product

This relatively small book on classical theoretical mechanics is a collection of exercises, or problems, with their solutions. All the exercises to be found in Calkin's textbook Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics, except the last one, are contained herein. Naturally, it is meant to be used in conjunction with the aforementioned textbook, though I think this not absolutely necessary (though it may help with issues pertaining to, say, terminology). Indeed, my use of this book is primarily as a set of exercises to supplement H. Goldstein's famous text, and to a lesser extent, that of J.R. Taylor - I do not own Calkin's text. I recommend this book for what it is, but be aware that it contains no problems on either rigid bodies or special relativity. Anyhow, as problems WITH SOLUTIONS (and, by the way, the solutions given in this book are, I think most will agree, sufficiently complete) are almost essential to independent students, I recommend this to such people (as does the author himself, in the preface).

Ellul at his best

If you have read anything by Jacques Ellul (sociological or theological) and you enjoyed what you read in anyway, I would strongly recommend you pick up a copy of this little masterpiece. Regardless of where you stand in the Jonah debate (is the book a historical event or a spiritual legend meant to illustrate a lesson) Ellul powerfully explains the meaning of the text both in its original context among the Jewish Rabbis and more importantly how the book both prophecies to and eximplifies the life of Jesus. By far one of his most powerful exegesis of scripture and a tremendous read. It will restore your faith.

About the Author
Vera Regan is a specialist in sociolinguistics and second language acquisition, with a particular interest in the acquisition of sociolinguistic competence, multilingualism and issues of language, migration and integration. She has been awarded the honour of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques and the Prix du Québec and has held several IRCHSS Research Fellowships and two Fulbright Research Awards. She has also been President of the European Association for Second Language Research, President of the Association of French Language Studies, Director of the Ireland Canada University Foundation and a member of the Committee of Heads and Professors of French.
Chloé Diskin earned her PhD in sociolinguistics and second language acquisition at University College Dublin in 2015. Her research looks at identity and language learning from a variationist perspective. She is particularly interested in discourse-pragmatic variation and change and the relationship between language ideologies and second language acquisition in the context of migration.
Jennifer Martyn is an Irish Research Council postgraduate scholar in sociolinguistics and second language acquisition at University College Dublin. Her research focuses on the role of gender in language education in Ireland from sociolinguistic and ethnographic perspectives. She is particularly interested in the role of learner identity and language ideologies in the language learning process.

A helpful survey of pilgrimage in world religions

The concept of 'Pilgrimage' is a universal one common to all the religions. As an outward expression of one's inner faith such sacred journeys are encourged in all the religions. This ritual also offers layers of meaning for an earnest pilgrim. The authors attempt successsfully to trace the origin and development of the theology and practice of such pilgrimages in the different world religions like Judaism, Islam, Christianity and Hinduism. A separate chapter is devoted most appropriately, to the Indian religions. A student would find the book very valuable and a pilgrim would be fascinated by the information. The book is illustrated with beautiful photographs from various parts of the world.
